David Zuckerman

David was born and raised in Danville, California. After graduating from UCLA’s School of Motion Picture/ Television with honors, he worked as a creative executive for Lorimar- Telepictures and NBC. He began writing fulltime when he landed a staff job on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. His first pilot, The Last Frontier, was picked up to series by FOX, and while the show was short-lived, it began David’s long association with that network. As Writer and Co-Executive Producer, he helped launch the first three seasons of the FOX Animation hit King of the Hill and he served as an executive producer on the first four seasons of American Dad. David was the original showrunner and executive producer on Family Guy, which he co-developed with creator Seth MacFarlane. He also created the ABC series, The Big House, starring Kevin Hart. Most recently he reconceived and developed the American version of Wilfred for FX. David has been nominated for five Emmys®, and won one trophy (for King of the Hill). In features, he co-produced the film adaptation of Tucker Max’s bestseller, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell. He lives in Los Angeles and is the father of two sons.
