Tim Griffin joined the Thomas More Society as Special Counsel in 2020. He previously served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Virginia for over five years. During his time in the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, he prosecuted thousands of cases dealing with violence, drugs, driving under the influence, theft, and homicide. He served as one of two attorneys in securing the conviction of the nation’s longest-cold case-no body murder in American history. In addition, Tim’s conviction of a methamphetamine manufacturer and dealer was upheld by the Virginia Supreme Court and created case law that helps prosecutors to this day. Tim is a graduate of Appalachian School of Law where he served on the Law Review, and Moot Court Competitive teams. In addition, he interned for Virginia Supreme Court Justice Cynthia Kinser, and the Honorable James Turk of the U.S. District Court for the Western District. He is a member of the Virginia State bar and resident of Bedford, Virginia. He is father to two beautiful daughters. Tim continues to work for the Thomas More Society as part of the Free Michigan & Free Minnesota election and constitutional law initiative. He is also an adjunct professor at Liberty University, Helm’s School of Government.
