Tatiana’s family introduced her to the pleasures of wine and food from an early age. In addition to her love of fine wines, Tatiana brings a diverse international background and remarkable family legacy to Bouchaine. Composer Sergei Rachmaninoff was her great uncle and her Russian roots go back more than 1,000 years. Born in Europe, brought up in South America, and educated at UCLA and Berkeley, she is fluent in five languages. At a time when professional women in business were rare, she forged a successful international career at Price Waterhouse and DuPont. However, Tatiana’s soul has always belonged in California. When the opportunity to buy a historic Carneros winery landed in her lap, she knew that she and her husband had to go for it. Tatiana’s business acumen is reinforced by being a Phi Beta Kappa alumnus of UCLA. She graduated summa cum laude, ranking first in her class of 500, then went on to earn her M.B.A. at the University of California at Berkeley.
