Tristan Snell has over a decade of experience in litigation and negotiation. At two top national firms, he has worked with many of the top leading tech and Internet companies in the US -- in web services, cellular and GPS hardware, clean energy,and medical devices -- as well as a number of exciting startups in clean energy and life sciences, working on everything from IP and patent litigation to Internet law to appellate litigation. In his own private practice, he has represented individual litigants while also serving as outside counsel to several entertainment firms and as in-house counsel to a tech and media startup he co-founded, including work on litigation motions and briefs, provisional patent applications, consulting and stock agreements, non-disclosure agreements, terms of service, and negotiating commercial contracts and settlement agreements. He also served as Assistant Attorney General of the State of New York, working on consumer protection issues in e-commerce, financial services, for-profit education, and consumer tech, including negotiating multi-million dollar settlements and brokering groundbreaking agreements with some of the top retailers in the US. Tristan is a graduate of Princeton University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was an editor of the Virginia Law Review. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Eric N. Vitaliano, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of New York.
