Mr. Renfrew has over a decade of Congressional experience focused on policy development, communications, political advocacy and campaigns. He has extensive experience working with federal, state, local and private sector officials to develop and implement legislative strategies. Before joining Brown Rudnick, Mr. Renfrew served as Chief of Staff to the Vice Chair of the House Democratic Caucus, Congressman John B. Larson, a member of the influential Ways and Means Committee and the Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming. As Chief of Staff to the Vice Chair, Mr. Renfrew managed the operations of the Congressman’s Congressional office, coordinated activities for the Vice Chair on the House floor during voting and legislative sessions and was responsible for policy development, strategy, and implementation activities coordinated between the House Democratic Caucus, the Democratic Leadership, House Committees, and individual Member offices. Prior to that, Mr. Renfrew served as the Legislative Director (2003 – 2007) and Senior Legislative Assistant (1999 – 2002) to Congressman John B. Larson. From 1997 – 1998, Mr. Renfrew was a Legislative Assistant to (former) Congresswoman Barbara B. Kennelly.
