As Managing Director, Michael Klingensmith brings to AdMedia a wide array of marketing and financial expertise. In Mr. Klingensmith's 31-year career at Time Inc. he served as general manager of TIME worldwide, circulation director at four different magazines and as Time's group circulation director. Mr. Klingensmith was the founding publisher and President of Entertainment Weekly, as well as chief financial officer and senior vice president of what was then the Time Inc. Magazine Company. He was president of Sports Illustrated where, under this leadership, the brand broadened its scope in print, television and the web. While at SI he was responsible for acquiring and overseeing Time4Media. Most recently, he was executive vice president of Time Inc, managing corporate groups including Strategic Planning, the Law Department, IT, Production and Administrative Services. In addition he oversaw or sat on most of Time Inc.'s acquisitions and ventures boards including American Express Publishing, Grupo Editorial Expansión and Synapse. Mr. Klingensmith is a trustee of the University of Chicago and a board member of the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amFAR) and the YMCA of Greater New York. He is also the immediate past Vice-Chairman of the Magazine Publishers of America. Mr. Klingensmith holds a B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
