Pete Schenkel

Dean Foods

Mr. Schenkel joined our Company in January 2000 as President of our Dairy Group and a member of our Board of Directors. Effective December 31, 2005, Mr. Schenkel retired as President of our Dairy Group. He now serves as a consultant to our Company. From 1959 to December 31, 1999, he served in various capacities at Southern Foods Group (now a part of our Dairy Group), including Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer from 1994 through 1999, and President from 1987 to 1994. He was originally elected to our Board of Directors in connection with our acquisition of Southern Foods Group in January 2000. His term will expire in 2009.
