Ed is the chair of Reed Smith's Financial Industry Group. Ed counsels his clients in a wide range of business matters, including acting as outside counsel, and addressing their regulatory, transactional and litigation needs. His litigation and corporate bankruptcy practice focuses on advising clients in the financial services, aerospace, manufacturing, media and entertainment industries, regarding his clients’ efforts to identify, protect and enforce rights and claims. Ed has played significant roles in domestic, cross-border and foreign actions, appearing in state, federal, bankruptcy and appellate courts, as well as mediations and arbitrations. In addition to his current leadership of the firm’s Financial Industry Group, Ed has also served as co-head of the firm’s U.S. Litigation Group, has served two terms on the firm’s Executive Committee, served as Managing Partner of the New York Office, and served as the Firm’s Global Head of Business Strategy on the firm’s Senior Management Team.
