Kathryn Barger has served on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors since 2016, representing the Fifth District, and has concurrently served on the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) Board. A longtime county official, she previously worked in the office of former Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich, rising to Chief Deputy Supervisor, where she oversaw policy areas including health, mental health, social services, and children’s programs. As a county supervisor, Barger has been involved in regional transportation governance through Metro and in countywide policy related to public services and public safety, working with county departments and state and federal partners.
