DAVID R. WHITWAM, Retired Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Whirlpool Corporation. Mr. Whitwam has been a Director of PPG since 1991. He was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Whirlpool Corporation, a manufacturer and distributor of household appliances and related products, from 1987 until his retirement in 2004. He is also a director of Convergys Corporation.
