Juan Rajlin joined Alphabet/ Google as VP & Treasurer in 2018. Under Juan’s leadership, the Treasury team is responsible for investing Google's ~$120+ billion in cash, running global funding operations, and risk management activities including FX, commodity and insurance for a growing and increasingly diverse set of businesses. Juan also leads corporate finance policy, as well as sustainability initiatives, helping to return $38 billion in capital to shareholders over the last two years, while returning Alphabet to the debt capital markets with a focus on financing sustainable, environmental and social projects. Juan recently expanded his responsibilities, becoming Business Finance Officer for the company’s Payments product area in addition to running treasury. Before joining Google, Juan spent six years at Mastercard. As CFO of Products & Services, Juan ran finance for a $4 billion revenue business while leading Mastercard’s capital allocation and investment process. Before that, as Corporate Treasurer and Chair of the company’s Risk Management Committee, he led Mastercard’s entry to the public debt markets and focused on optimizing Mastercard’s $2.5 trillion settlement & FX operation. Before joining Mastercard, Juan spent ten years at General Motors in a variety of treasury, finance & M&A roles in the United States and Europe. Prior to joining GM, he worked at Royal Dutch Shell in his native Argentina. Juan cares deeply about education, leadership, and diversity & inclusion. He is a board member and Finance Chair of The Posse Foundation, a national foundation focused on inclusive education. Juan received his MBA at Columbia Business School in New York and his undergrad at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
