Virginia Muñoz

Virginia Muñoz has a diverse work background within the realm of law, healthcare careers, and education. For over fourteen years she has had a thriving solo law practice in New York, New York, focusing on the purchase and sale of real property in the five boroughs, the Hamptons, and upstate New York. In addition to her legal career, she is also the Director of Provider Information at the CMO, the Care Management Company of Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. Within this role, she oversees various state and federal funded projects and initiatives. She works closely with over twenty-five health plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, and handles the provider credentialing transitions within the healthcare system as a result of hospital acquisitions. Lastly, she assists in teaching public speaking at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public Policy. When she is not working, Virginia has been very passionate about advocating and fund raising for The Trevor Project. Virginia is originally from south Texas and relocated to New York City over twenty-one years ago. As a gay, Mexican-American woman who grew up in Texas, in a catholic family, she has knowledge of the struggle that teens can go through trying to find their place in a society that does not reflect who they are on the inside or on the outside. As a result, she continues to spread the word about the need for The Trevor Project throughout her community in New York and in Texas.
