Tom Noonan is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Southern California Edison (SCE). He was elected on June 1, 2005. Previously, Noonan was vice president and controller for SCE and its parent company, Edison International, having overall responsibility for corporate financial reporting and accounting, budgeting, payroll, and property accounting. He was elected to that position in 1999. Noonan began his Edison career in 1978 as a regulatory cost specialist in the Regulatory Policy and Affairs Department. During his career, he has had extensive experience in both the Treasurer's Department and the Controller's Department. In 1993, he was elected assistant controller. Before joining Edison, Noonan was a financial analyst for the American Gas Association, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and Booz-Allen & Hamilton in Washington, D.C. Noonan earned an M.B.A. in finance from George Washington University and a CPA certification from the state of Maryland.
