Richard L. Grubman founded Highfields Capital Management in July 1998. Prior to the establishment of Highfields Capital, Mr. Grubman was a general partner of Corporate Value Partners, L.P., a strategic block investment firm in New York City. Previously, he held various positions in a number of private investment partnerships, and prior thereto at The First Boston Corporation. Mr. Grubman served as a Director of CapitalSource, a NYSE specialty finance company, and Odwalla, Inc., a publicly held specialty beverage company that was acquired by The Coca-Cola Company. Mr. Grubman is a Trustee of the Boston Arts Academy, WGBH Boston and the American Academy in Rome, and a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute. He serves on the visiting committee of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the advisory council of the Department of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University. Mr. Grubman graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University in 1984.
