Joseph Fortunato

Joseph Fortunato has served as a member of our board of directors since May 2013 and assumed his role as chairman in February 2017. Joseph has a long track record as an executive of a successful retail company and years of financial and operational experience. He has been operating partner at Prospect Hill Growth Partners, L.P., an operationally focused private equity firm, since January 2017. Fortunato serves on the board of directors of a number of current Prospect Hill Growth Partners portfolio companies, including Comoto Holdings, Inc. (as chairman since 2016), Honors Holdings, LLC (since 2018), EbLens LLC (as chairman since 2017) and Shoe Sensation (since 2015). He previously served as chairman of the board, chief executive officer and president of General Nutrition Companies, Inc. (NYSE: GNC; predecessor to GNC Holdings, Inc.), a global specialty retailer of health and wellness products, from 2005 to 2014 and was a consultant from 2014 to 2016. From 1990 to 2005, he served in various executive roles with General Nutrition Companies, Inc., including senior executive vice president and chief operating officer, executive VP of retail operations and store development, and senior VP of financial operations. Fortunato earned his undergraduate degree in Finance at Duquesne University in 1975.
