Director of the National Reconnaissance Office
Dr. Donald M. Kerr became the fifteenth NRO Director in July 2005. In October 2005, he was appointed as the Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force (Intelligence Space Technology). Dr. Kerr was appointed Deputy Director for Science and Technology at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in August 2001. He received the CIA Distinguished Intelligence Medal in September 2005.
