Ahmed Young, ’11, has been named District Chief of Staff and General Counsel of Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS). He brings six years of experience as a teacher to the position, in addition to his most recent work as Director of the Office of Education Innovation and Charter Schools for Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett. Young taught in the Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township for four years before taking a job as a teacher in New York City Public Schools. He then came to law school at IU McKinney, and worked in the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office as a Deputy Prosecutor before joining the law firm, Bose McKinney & Evans. Young was an associate at the firm, and Second Vice President at Bose Public Affairs Group.
