H Brian Thompson

Executive Chairman of Global. Mr. Thompson has served as a Director since March 2002. Mr. Thompson is Executive Chairman of Global Telecom & Technology (GTT), a worldwide multi-network telecommunications operator. He also heads his own private equity investment and advisory firm, Universal Telecommunications, Inc., in Vienna, Virginia. Mr. Thompson served as Chairman and CEO of Global TeleSystems Group, Inc. from March 1999 through September 2000 and from 1991 to 1998, he served as Chairman and CEO of LCI International. Subsequent to the June 1998 merger of LCI with Qwest Communications International Inc., Mr. Thompson became Vice Chairman of the Board for Qwest until his resignation in December 1998. In 1999, Mr. Thompson was Chairman of the Irish telephone company, Telecom Eirann, and Executive Vice President of MCI Communications Corporation from 1981 to 1990. Mr. Thompson currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Axcelis Technologies, Inc., ICO Global Communications (Holdings) Limited, and Sonus Networks, Inc.
