William H. “Bill” Rogers Jr. is chairman and CEO of SunTrust Banks, one of the nation’s largest financial services companies, serving 4.9 million households and business clients. Rogers began his career with the company in 1980 when he joined the commercial banking division. The North Carolina native held increasingly senior positions in corporate and commercial banking, corporate finance, retail banking, private wealth management, and mortgage prior to being named president in 2008 and chief operating officer in 2010. Rogers was appointed president and CEO in 2011 and became chairman and CEO in 2012. He serves on the Federal Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve.
