Stanley N. Gaines is the retired chairman of GNB, an automotive and industrial battery company. He and his wife, Gay Hart Gaines, are prominent republican fundraisers. Gay's father, the late Ralph A. Hart, was president and Chairman of Heublein, an important alcoholic beverage importer.
