Scott Brenner is a founding principal and the driving force behind Brenner Real Estate Group. His background as a licensed attorney, real estate broker, mortgage broker, court appointed receiver, and bankruptcy consultant, as well as his strength as a development owner, serves the organization and clients well. Mr. Brenner is actively involved in all aspects of Brenner Real Estate Group, which include leasing, sales, development, property management, tenant representation, investment sales, joint venture opportunities and court appointed receivership. In 1997, Mr. Brenner's entrepreneurial spirit spurred the creation of Zenith Realty Investments I, Ltd., a commercial property investment vehicle. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Brenner helped grow the fund to almost 1 million square feet of property in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, including Brenner's former Deerfield Beach headquarters building - Zenith has since sold its interest in all of its 14 assets. Mr. Brenner led the company into the multi-family residential market in 2002. The Ellington at Victoria Park, a 50-unit luxury townhome community in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, sold out in record time. The Ellington's success led Mr. Brenner to a new project called The Oaks at Oakland Forest, a townhome community in Oakland Park which was completed in 2007. In early 2005, Scott Brenner created yet another equity raised real estate investment fund, Brenner Investment Properties I, LTD (BIP). The fund opened with the purchase of three properties from Zenith Realty Investments. In mid-2005, the company launched into a new arena, office condo conversion. Acquisitions included The Exchange Office Condominium, a 175,000 SF project in Fort Lauderdale which has now been sold, Pine Island Commons Office Condominium in Plantation, and Emerald Hills Executive Plaza II in Hollywood which is now part of the BIP portfolio. Mr. Brenner, a native of Miami, Florida, earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida International University (FIU) in 1981 and obtained a Juris Doctor degree from Nova Law Center in 1984. Mr. Brenner's extensive community and political involvement further reflect his leadership skills where he serves on the Board of Directors of many organizations including the United South County Democratic Club, Israel Bonds, and Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County. In 1997, he received the Outstanding Young Leadership Award from the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County and is past president of the Young Adult Division of the Palm Beach County Jewish Federation. In 1996, he was also a candidate for State House of Representatives in Palm Beach County. Mr. Brenner was a founding Board Member and Director, Member of the Loan Committee, and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Legacy Bank of Florida.
