John D. Likovich is Chairman and CEO of Sterling Foods, LLC, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. He began his career in 1977 with Armour Food Company as a Marketing Representative and over a 17-year career, held 11 increasingly responsible management positions, his last being President and CEO. In 1994, after Armour merged with Swift-Eckrich, Mr. Likovich chose to move to San Antonio and become President and CEO for Sterling Foods, a premier bakery and snack food company that specializes in custom manufacturing for the retail, foodservice, school, and military distribution channels. Mr. Likovich serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the San Antonio Sports Foundation and Dreams For Youth Organization. He is also a Director of the Research and Development Associates, the food development arm of U.S. Military Troop Feeding, the Make a Difference Foundation, the Las Casas Foundation for the Performing Arts, and the Wounded Warriors (of Iraq and Afghanistan) Assistance Program. He is also currently Chairman of the U.S. Food Advisory Committee. Previously, he served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Special Olympics for 12 years and as its Chairman for two years. He just recently concluded three years on the board of the International Food Manufacturers Association (IFMA). Mr. Likovich is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a B.S. degree in business economics and was a member of the 1973 National Championship football team.
