Richard Reavey

Richard Reavey was VP Public Affairs at Cloud Peak Energy from 2014 and until its bankruptcy in 2019. Prior to joining Cloud Peak i, Reavey was a consultant, helping clients to enter developing markets or engage with officials in the Middle East and Africa. He also held various executive positions a Philip Morris International/Altria, between 1990 and 2007, in the area of public relations, government affairs and communications. He began his career as a staffer in the US Congress. Reavey is a graduate of Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service (BS) and Center for Contemporary Arab Studies (MA). He has lived in Switzerland, Sweden, the UAE, and Malaysia. He and his family currently reside in Colorado.
