Thomas F Motamed

Motamed retired as chairman and CEO of CNA Financial Corporation in 2016, after serving in the position since 2009. Previously, he spent 31 years at The Chubb Corporation, beginning his career as a claims trainee and rising to vice chairman and COO. Motamed has served Chubb for 31 years, beginning in 1977 as a claims trainee, and has held increasingly responsible positions in the field and the home office. He was elected to his present position in December 2002.
