Creighton is an eighth-generation Montgomery County resident. He is an attorney and an alumnus of both the University of Texas and Oklahoma City University School of Law. Creighton served as State Representative for District 16 where he was elected to Chairman of the Texas House Republican Caucus and served as Chairman of House Federalism Committees. The House Federalism Committees basically oversee the State of Texas' constitutional rights/ the relationship between the State govt. and the Federal govt.
