Frank Biondi Jr., the seasoned entertainment business executive who served tenures as the CEO of HBO, Viacom and Universal Studios, died Monday November 25 2019 of cancer at his home in Los Angeles. He was 74. Senior Managing Director, WaterView Advisors LLC. Continuing Bank of New York Director. Mr. Biondi served as a director of The Bank of New York Company, Inc. from 1995 to 2007. Mr. Biondi has served as Senior Managing Director of WaterView Advisors LLC (formerly Biondi, Reiss Capital Management LLC), an investment adviser to WaterView Partners LLC, a private equity limited partnership focused on media and entertainment, since 1999. Mr. Biondi is currently a director of Amgen, Inc., Cablevision Systems Corp., Hasbro, Inc. and Seagate Technology. Biondi grew up in New Jersey, the son of a Bell Telephone executive. After graduating from Livingston High School in 1962, he earned a BA in psychology from Princeton University in 1966 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1968. He married ABC research executive Carol Oughton in 1974. His other survivors include a daughter, Jane.
