Roy Vallee

Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Avnet since June 1998; prior thereto, Vice Chairman of the Board (November 1992 to June 1998) and President and Chief Operating Officer of Avnet (March 1992 to June 1998). Mr. Vallee is also a director of Synopsys, Inc., a developer of software for semiconductor design, and Teradyne, Inc., a supplier of automatic test equipment for the electronics and telecommunications industries.
