Jean-Baptiste Wautier Global Partners Council Managing Partner, BC Partners Limited Jean-Baptiste Wautier is Managing Partner and current Chairman of the Investment Committee at the global private equity firm BC Partners Limited. He joined the firm as a Partner in Paris in 2005 and has led the acquisitions of Medica (leading nursing homes operator in France), BDR Thermea (leader in heating solutions in Europe), Spotless as Chairman (laundry care and insecticides manufacturer in Europe) and Allflex as Chairman (global leader in animal identification). Jean-Baptiste has over 14 years’ experience in private equity having led a variety of investments in Europe. Prior to joining BC Partners, he was co-head of the French team at Industri Kapital (2000-2005) where he participated in or led a variety of buy-outs including Laho, Fives-Lille, Labeyrie and CEVA Santé Animale. Jean-Baptiste started his career in 1993 as an auditor at Arthur Andersen in Paris before joining the Investment Banking Division of Morgan Stanley in London in 1996 where he worked on numerous large transactions involving French clients (e.g. Elf takeover by Total, Carrefour/Promodes merger, Air France IPO). He holds a degree in Industrial Organisation from Université de Paris-Dauphine (1993) and a degree in Politics from Institut d’Etudes politiques de Paris (1993).
