Don H. Davis, Jr. retired as Chairman of the Board of Rockwell Automation, Inc., a leading global provider of industrial automation power, control and information products and services, in February 2005, a position he had held since 1998. David passed away in April 2025 at age 85 from a long illness. He started with a 22-year tenure at Allen-Bradley Corp., which was acquired by Rockwell International in 1985 for $1.65 billion. From 1997 to 2004, he also served as Rockwell's Chief Executive Officer. He was a director of Journal Communications, Inc. Mr. Davis served as a director of ITW since 2000. and other boards including the Medical College of Wisconsin and CIENA Corp.
