Frankie Sue Del Papa was born into greatness, having a recognizable and unforgettable name, which has followed her since birth (September 21, 1949) through a lifetime of public service. She is best known for her role as a trailblazer: the first woman elected as Secretary of State and first woman Attorney General of the State of Nevada. She began her term as Attorney General in 1990 and held it through 1998. Prior to this, she began her career as a Nevada official by serving as student body president for UNR, a position which inspired her to reach for her dream of effecting change in the world. After Frankie Sue earned her bachelors degree from UNR and juris doctorate from George Washington University Law School, she became a university regent. A passionate Democrat, Frankie Sue has remained politically active.
