Wallace Henderson serves as a partner in TRPSA's Washington, Austin and San Antonio offices. He has extensive experience and an active practice in government affairs matters at the federal, state and local levels.The firm's clients benefit greatly from Mr. Henderson's 25 years of experience in Washington, D.C. in senior positions in the public and private sectors, working as an attorney, consultant, trade association vice president, congressional chief of staff, state agency head, committee staff director and legislative committee counsel. Mr. Henderson served the U.S. Congress in a variety of senior positions. He was Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator John Breaux (D-LA), Chief Counsel and Chief of Staff to Representative W. J. Tauzin (R-LA), and Staff Director of the House Outer Continental Shelf and Panama Canal Subcommittee. In state government, he served as Secretary of the Louisiana State Mineral Board, with jurisdiction over the leasing of all state lands and water bottoms, Assistant Secretary to the Louisiana Office of Mineral Resources and Counsel to the Louisiana Legislature and the Governor's Office of Consumer Protection. Prior to joining TRPSA, Mr. Henderson worked in the private sector as Vice President of Congressional Affairs for the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association, the principal national trade association representing wireless carriers before Congress and regulatory agencies. He worked on federal and state legislative initiatives as a private consultant, and represented clients as a partner in the Washington office of a Louisiana law firm and as a partner in a Texas government affairs firm concentrating on telecommunications, energy, aviation, healthcare and environmental matters.
