Margaret Hession is a Principal with TRPSA's Austin, San Antonio and Washington, DC offices. Active in government affairs matters at the federal, state, and local levels, Ms. Hession focuses on policy before Federal and State executive and legislative branches, as well as local elected and administrative officials. Ms. Hession has extensive experience with a wide variety of policy areas, including telecommunications, aviation, procurement and immigration. She is the firm's primary coordinator on all appropriations matters. Ms. Hession possesses extensive political experience, including serving as Associate and Political Events Coordinator for Hession & Associates, Inc. in New York City - a leading major events, design, management and communications consulting firm with offices in Manhattan and Washington, D.C. Here she worked directly with a wide variety of clients providing services ranging from event production and management, to fundraising and business development. In this capacity, in a bipartisan role, she managed multiple events for elected officials at every level of government. Ms. Hession worked both the 2004 Democratic Convention in Boston and the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York. From 2002 to 2004, she served as Assistant to John Weaver, chief political strategist to Senator John McCain (R-AZ). In this capacity, Ms. Hession provided analysis and support on numerous issues, including immigration reform. In 2005, assisting The Coalition for Comprehensive Immigration Reform (CCIR), Ms. Hession organized and assisted with immigration reform media events across Texas.
