Elise Banister is Executive Director of Regulatory and Public Policy for AT&T Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. She was recently promoted to that position after having been Director of Legislative Affairs for AT&T Florida for 15 years. Prior to Legislative Affairs, Elise was a Manager of Florida Regulatory Relations for BellSouth in Tallahassee, and prior to that, was in Florida External Affairs for Southern Bell in Miami. Her professional career began when she was selected as a public relations intern with Southern Bell while working toward her Bachelor’s degree. Elise is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, and a graduate of Nova Southeastern University with a Master of Business Administration degree. She is currently Chair of the Associated Industries of Florida Tax Committee and a graduate of both Leadership Florida and Leadership Tallahassee. Elise is also a founding member of the Florida Association of Professional Lobbyists and was a past President of the Florida Telecommunications Industry Association. She also has been involved in Children’s Miracle Network benefiting Shands Children’s Hospital for more than 10 years.
