Ms. Stanton is a Managing Director for Sonnenschein’s Public Law & Policy Strategies Practice Group. Her work is focused on appropriations, education, financial services, health care, labor, tax and transportation issues. She specializes in legislation regarding education and health care policy; advocating for public policies at the state and federal level; and assisting in state and federal government relations. Prior to joining Sonnenschein, Ms. Stanton served as Legislative Assistant for Senator Herb Kohl where she advised the Senator on education and health care policy, including Medicare, Medicaid, Food and Drug Administration, and prescription drugs. She also planned and developed policy, oversight initiatives, and hearings for the Senate Special Committee on Aging; and advised the Senator on his Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations Subcommittee assignment. Prior to her work with Senator Kohl, Ms. Stanton served as Policy Advisor to the Senate Special Committee on Aging where she advised the Ranking Member of the Committee. Ms. Stanton received a Masters of Art in History and Public Policy, with a concentration in Health Care, from George Washington University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Marquette University.
