Josh brings more than 20 years of research, strategy, and civic convening experience to his role as acting executive director. Prior to joining the Economy League in 2009, he served as manager of knowledge industry initiatives for the City of Philadelphia's Commerce Department, project coordinator for the Philadelphia Gaming Advisory Task Force, and associate with Urban Partners, an economic development consulting firm based in Philadelphia. He co-founded Young Involved Philadelphia, a grassroots nonprofit focused on civic engagement among young Philadelphians, and has been named one of Greater Philadelphia's 101 top Experienced Connectors (2006) and Emerging Connectors (2008) by Leadership Philadelphia. Josh received his BA from Yale University and a Master in City Planning from MIT. He lives in West Philadelphia with his wife and two daughters.
