Miss House was born and raised in Decatur, Alabama. She received her BA in Political Science at Birmingham-Southern College, and received a Charles B. Vail College Fellowship for her research on regional differences in media strategies in politics. She spent three years on Capitol Hill working on education policy for the House Education and Labor Committee and for Representative Ric Keller from Florida, Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Higher Education, Lifelong Learning and Competitiveness. Her policy knowledge spans domestic education issues from pre-Kindergarten to Higher Education and her understanding of the way Congress operates makes her a valuable part of the Chartwell team.
