Following the retirement of Mr. Michel in 1993, David joined the National Association of Health Underwriters, where he served for two years as Senior Director of Government Affairs until he joined the firm in 1997. In that capacity, he managed NAHU's government affairs department coordinating the development of the association's legislative policy and lobbying activity on behalf of those positions. He oversaw their grassroots strategy and implementation process working closely with Members of Congress and the Executive Branch. David has given speeches on numerous policy issues over the years and has had a good working relationship with the news media. A Washington insider, David knows many of the major players in the Nation's Capitol.
