Matt Moon comes from one of the largest independent public relations and public affairs firms in the nation, where he led high stakes issue management efforts for major corporate and non-profit clients. Moon has been a respected policy and communications advisor for Florida Governor Rick Scott, U.S. Senator Ron Johnson, the Republican National Committee, the Tax Foundation and a range of private sector clients. Most recently, Matt served as a Vice President at Rasky Baerlein | Prism, building public affairs and crisis communications strategies for businesses and trade organizations in the energy, health care, consumer brand, and non-profit sectors. During the 2014 election cycle, Matt was Communications Director for the successful re-election campaign of Governor Rick Scott (R-Fla.), coordinating message and bracketing strategy as well as overseeing all press, research, and rapid response efforts. He also served as Senior Advisor for U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) on legislative and communications efforts. In the years prior, Matt served as Senior Communications Strategist at New Media Strategies, leading advocacy and reputation management efforts for corporations and business groups in the energy and financial industries. During the 2010 election cycle, Matt served as the Republican National Committee’s Deputy Research Director, leading a team of policy analysts, war room managers, and opposition researchers. He also was Manager of Media Relations at the Tax Foundation, a renowned economic think tank in Washington. Born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, Matt is a graduate of Harvard University, earning both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree.
