Tim Broas

Timothy Broas, a partner in the litigation department of the Washington, D.C. office, concentrates his practice in white-collar criminal defense, securities litigation, corporate internal investigations, and congressional investigations. Mr. Broas represents individuals and entities in grand jury, congressional, and internal corporate investigations, and in trials, in a broad range of matters involving securities, banking, money laundering, campaign finance, labor and employment, government contracts, antitrust, health care, and food-and-drug laws, among others. On the civil side, Mr. Broas focuses his practice on product liability, securities, and intellectual property matters. He also represents financial institutions in commercial and securities arbitrations. Mr. Broas was honored as a Super Lawyer for white collar criminal defense in Washington, D.C. Super Lawyers in March 2007. Mr. Broas is a member of the firm’s Associate Evaluation Committee. He is a member of the board of directors of the Council for Court Excellence in Washington, D.C. and was appointed to the Board of Visitors of Mount Vernon by Virginia Gov. Mark Warner. Mr. Broas received an A.B., magna cum laude, in Economics and History from Boston College in 1976 and a J.D. from the College of William and Mary in 1979.
