Samir G. Gibara retired chairman of the board and chief executive officer of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Mr. Gibara served as chairman and chief executive officer from 1996 to his retirement in 2002 and remained as non-executive chairman until June 30, 2003. Prior to 1996, Mr. Gibara served that company in various managerial posts prior to being elected president and chief operating officer in 1995. Mr. Gibara served as a director of Dana Corporation through early 2008, and will stand for election to the board of W&T Offshore Inc. in May 2008. He serves on the Board of Dean's Advisors of the Harvard Business School and as a trustee of the University of Akron Foundation. Director since March 9, 1999.
