Chris Kim has extensive experience in private equity investments in debt and equity, private equity fund formation, mergers and acquisitions, private and public equity offerings, complex mezzanine financings, and restructuring and reorganization of companies and portfolios of nonperforming loans (NPLs). Her focus in Asia has been on private equity transactions in Asia Pacific and representations of U.S. institutional investors and foreign government entities in complex real estate-related business opportunities, including project financings and infrastructure investments, as well as fund formation and corporate restructurings and debt and equity workouts. Prior to joining Jones Day, she practiced close to 20 years in New York, New York. Chris is a member of the board of visitors of Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and a member of the advisory board for the Center for Hope (Haiti). Currently, she is an adjunct professor at the KDI School of Public Policy and Management in Seoul, Korea, lecturing on real estate securities and REITs and a member of Pine Tree Group.
