Diana Mackie is an international business strategy and development executive who works in two main sectors: healthcare and consumer packaged goods. Currently, through her Health Matters company, she is working with small to medium-size European companies on managing innovation processes and preparing for new product launches in the US market. She is also on the Advisory Board of the Kimmel Cancer Center in Philadelphia. Formerly, Diana held Vice-President positions at GlaxoSmithKline, leading departments in Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Healthcare, Healthcare Services, and Animal Health, based in Pennsylvania and England, from 1992 to 2004. Prior to joining SmithKline Beecham, she was a Principal at McKinsey & Company, in New York, Chicago, and Milan. She co-led the Pharmaceutical Practice and was a partner of the Innovation Center, the Consumer Goods Practice, and the Technology Practice from 1979 through 1991. She also worked briefly for the FDA in 1991 and served as a Board member of Careside, a point-of-care diagnostic venture from 1996 to 2002. At Procter & Gamble in the 70s, she held positions in Advertising and Technical Product Development. She made Charmin softer and Pampers tighter! Diana gained masters degrees from MIT twice: in Polymer and Fiber Engineering and later at the Sloan School of Management. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois.
