Douglas Nathan Silverman

Douglas Nathan Silverman, also known as Doug, serves as the Co-Chief Executive Officer, Co-Chief Investment Officer, Managing Partner, and Portfolio Manager at Senator Investment Group LP. Mr. Silverman co-founded the firm in February 2008, and. At the firm, he is responsible for portfolio management and all operations of a 16 employee partnership which manages approximately $1.9 billion of assets. Previously, Mr. Silverman served as a Managing Director and Co-Portfolio Manager at York Capital Management from May 2002 to December 2007. He had joined the firm in 2002. Mr. Silverman worked as an Investment Banker in the global leveraged finance group at Merrill Lynch. He was employed at Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. from June 2000 to April 2002. Mr. Silverman served as a Director of Aventine Renewable Energy Holdings, Inc. from March 15, 2010 to September 24, 2012. He holds a B.A. in Economics, Cum Laude, from Princeton University.
