Prior to serving on the DPC, Ms. Mills served as a Regional Representative to U.S. Senator Harry Reid. In this role, she worked on the local and regional side of federal energy and environmental policy on behalf of Senator Reid and worked with diverse groups, ranging from federal land agencies to recreational land use advocates and local environmental groups. Earlier in her career, Ms. Mills was a Legislative Aide to Senator Reid, again in Washington, where she researched energy and environmental issues for the Senator, including nuclear waste disposal and public lands issues. Ms. Mills graduated Cum Laude from Georgetown University with a degree in American Studies. She was a finalist for the Mita Prize, awarded annually to the student in the American Studies Program whose thesis has been selected for publication.
