David A Scott

David A. Scott was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Comcast Spectacor on July 29, 2015. He joined Comcast Spectacor as President and Chief Operating Officer on December 2, 2013. He retired from Comcast on July 1, 2013 after 20 years with Comcast. He quickly established a OneComcast Spectacor culture with a unified "Go-To-Market" approach, a renewed focus on operational excellence and client retention and standardization of back office systems and support. In June 2015, Scott launched a rebranding of the company’s three divisions that are engaged in live event management – Global Spectrum, Ovations Food Services, and Paciolan. These now operate cohesively as Spectra, a singular, new brand, raising the bar on live event experiences by always putting the customer first. Scott had served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Comcast Cable since 2005, with responsibility for the Company’s financial planning and strategy, accounting, procurement and executive project management organization (EPMO), as well as oversight for the legal group. During this time Comcast acquired approximately 5 million new customers and launched Comcast Digital Voice and Business Services. Scott served as President of Comcast’s Former Midwest Division from 1999 to 2005, where he led operations serving approximately 4 million cable customers. Under his leadership the Midwest Division integrated several acquisitions, including 2.4 million former AT&T Broadband customers in Greater Chicago, the Twin Cities, Michigan and Indiana. He joined Comcast in 1993 as Regional Vice President of Comcast’s Southeast Region after extensive roles in finance and operations with two other communication companies, and in 1996 set up what was formerly the Southern Division based in Atlanta. The former Southern and Midwest Divisions were consolidated into the new Central Division in 2010. Scott holds a BBA in Accounting from Cleveland State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He currently serves on the Board of the Comcast Foundation and Conditional Access Licensing (CAL) and has been a past Board Member of Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern Pennsylvania, and Focus Hope and Cranbrook Science Institute in the Detroit area. Scott is married with five children.
