John Hetherington

John Hetherington served as the elected Representative for the 125th District of the Connecticut State General Assembly from 2003-2013. As a Republican representative, Hetherington served as an Assistant Minority Leader and on various committees including the Judiciary Committee. His legislative peers turned to him for advice on judiciary and election policy issues, trusting his vast knowledge. John is widely published on corporate governance matters and brings this background to his business and corporate law work. He also practices in the areas of probate, estates and estate planning. In addition to his service in the state legislature, John served for many years on the New Canaan, Connecticut, land use bodies such as Planning and Zoning Commission, the Zoning Board of Appeals, and the Board of Assessment Appeals.John is a long-time resident of New Canaan, where he and his wife Hope, raised two children.
