Andrew Bremberg

Andrew Bremberg co-leads the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Landing Team with Paula Stannard. Bremberg most recently served as policy director to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s presidential campaign, where he helped the governor design a proposal to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) and reform the Medicaid program. He also worked on Republican Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign, where he was responsible for coordinating development of Romney’s ACA repeal-and-replace plan. Bremberg held a number of senior positions at HHS under President George W. Bush including, chief of staff in the Office of Public Health and Science, special assistant in the Immediate Office of the Secretary and special assistant to the executive secretary. Bremberg also has experience on Capitol Hill. He served as policy adviser and counsel on nominations to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY). In this role, he was responsible for serving as a liaison between conservative groups and Senate Republicans as they nominated candidates to federal boards and commissions, including the Securities and Exchange Commission. Bremberg worked for the non-profit MITRE Corporation as a senior health policy-analyst and department manager from 2009 to 2014 and for the Department of Health and Human Services from 2001 to 2009. Mr. Bremberg earned a B.A. from Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio and a J.D. from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
