Al A Gonsoulin

A Louisiana native and business graduate of the University of Louisiana, Gonsoulin makes his home in Sugar Land, Texas. He began his career in 1965, working his way to executive management positions with established companies in the oil and gas service sector. In 1976, he founded his own company, Sea Mar, Inc., a marine transportation firm which he built and operated as CEO for more than 22 years. He ultimately sold the firm in 1998 and operated it for Nabors Industries until 2001. In September 2001, he purchased a controlling interest in Petroleum Helicopters, Inc. (PHI), assuming the titles and active roles as Chairman and CEO of PHI, positions which he currently maintains. PHI, Inc. is one of the world’s leading helicopter services companies. Known industry wide for the relentless pursuit of safe, reliable helicopter transportation, PHI offers services to the offshore Oil and Gas, onshore mining, International, Air Medical, and Technical Services industries.
