Howard Pizer

Howard Pizer serves as Senior Executive Vice President of the Chicago White Sox and Executive Vice President/CEO of the United Center Joint Venture. Mr. Pizer has been associated with Jerry Reinsdorf, Chairman of the White Sox and Bulls, in various business and professional sports activities since 1972. Prior to its opening on April 18, 1991, Pizer's primary focus was on the necessary steps to create the new Comiskey Park, now Guaranteed Rate Field. He then also used this experience in connection with the development and operation of the United Center, which opened in time for the 1994-95 Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks seasons. Mr. Pizer is one of the pioneers in the creation of modern executive suites for sporting venues. He was actively involved in the retrofitting of 27 suites into the then 73-year-old Comiskey Park in 1983 in time for the 50th anniversary major-league baseball All-Star game held in the same ballpark in 1933. He was also involved in the creation of the executive suites in what is now Guaranteed Rate Field, which opened in 1991, and in the executive suites and other premium seating at the United Center. He and his longtime colleague, Terry Savarise, were instrumental in launching Levy Restaurants' involvement in providing premium food and beverage service to executive suite holders. Born in Chicago in 1941, Pizer is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin where he majored in accounting and from the Northwestern University School of Law in 1966. Pizer and his wife, Sheila, have two children; and four grandchildren.
