Nancy Granese serves as a senior governmental affairs advisor to Hogan & Hartson. She represents clients on legislative matters before the U.S. Congress and Administration, and has done so since she joined the firm in 1993. Previously, Nancy was a private consultant, and in 1990, she served as Executive Vice President of the Progressive Policy Institute, a nonprofit Washington-based think tank. The Institute is a project of the Democratic Leadership Council, an organization founded by centrist Democratic officeholders which was chaired in 1990 and 1991 by then-Governor Bill Clinton of Arkansas. From 1981 until 1990, Nancy was government relations advisor to a national law firm and its clients, representing them in Washington on matters of tax policy, banking and securities law, international trade, and health care policy. She also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the consulting company owned by the firm. Nancy spent two years in the Washington office of International Minerals & Chemicals Corporation. She also has served on the staff of members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, and in congressional, presidential, and gubernatorial campaigns.
